Trends of the Week – September Issue

Trend Tip of the Day

The Indo western Kurtis – As ethnic goes global so does the style along with it. Indo western kurtis include the flair of a gown with the grace of a kurta. The front cut paired with or without the side cut make it suitable for casual parties and the ample amount of designs from heavy embellished to anarkali mix allow it to compete with the most ethnic dresses.

These are considered ideal for casual dinner parties and functions at home where you want  to set your statement apart. Also can be considered for office get-togethers where you don’t want to induge in the boring western style clothing you take to the office everyday.

Accessories – A heavy pair of earrin  g is a must along with bangles, bracelets depending on the sleeve size.

Pairing –Best paired with leggings when wearing a long Kurti. For special occasion it is considered best to go for heavy embroidered leggings or printed leggings with a heavy eye-catching design.

To add a bit of flare these can be worn even with palazzos especially if the Kurti is a bit heavy and for special occasions. The Ramadan season sees a lot of such pairings and frankly they look stunning. Check these out.

Story behind Ethnic Fashionista

Our ethnic portal, Ethnic Fashionista began with a simple story and a simple guy. Once upon a time there was a guy who wanted to buy something pretty for his wife (See, how women shape the world). It was supposed to be beautiful, brought with love and attention and chosen to make her feel special. So he went around the market looking for such a gift.

But he was not satisfied. Then he tried it through the numerous websites (yes, it’s a story of our times) . Sadly, some where he didn’t find the right collections, or the right quality or somewhere the idea of buying something through the site felt impersonal so he didn’t believe them. Thus our guy was now in a big, big dilemma. Whether to compromise on the variety and settle it through local markets or find something online and pray that it comes on time and the same quality that he hoped it would be.

That might be a small day in the boring routine of one common man, but that was the day when he decided that no fellow brother should go through the same hell. The unfairness of the situation made him take the extreme measure of building the solution himself.

Thus the birth of Ethnic Fashionista happened, with the idea of bringing the world of ethnic to your doorstep. Without stepping out of your door, removing the entire dramatics of local shops and the bargaining and what not, you find a huge range of Sarees, Salwars, Lehengas and Kurtis. The portal was based on bringing trusted vendors to customers to build a relationship. Here the customer has the say, what they want to see and how they want to buy their dream dresses. A transparent policy where you can call up, text us or reach out to us in whatever way suits you.

We are a team of 6 members handling the ups and downs of making the portal a success in your hearts. Try us and let us know what you think and how would you want the site to be in the future. As a very tightly knit team we can assure you the right person would hear you.
